Cannibalistic Piranhas 2018 - 2019
Welcome back to an exciting year in Year Six.
Year Six have made a good start to the year and have settled back quickly in to the school routine. Year Six have chosen an exciting class name; Cannibalistic Piranhas.
Class Teacher is Mrs Hardman.
Teaching Assistants - Miss Fenn and Miss Southcott.
This term our topic theme is called 'Survival' and alongside the theme we are reading 'Gold of the Gods' by Bear Grylls.

This term we are reading The Wizard of Oz. Year Six are exploring persuasive language and comparing formal, informal language.
In music, we have been focusing on Musical Language. Just like any other language it can be quite technical and Year Six have been working in groups to help each other work out the meanings of some of the musical vocabulary they need to know by the end of Year Six.
n French Year Six have been practising their spoken french by greeting and introducing each other.
"Je m'appelle" " I am called......."
"Au Revoir! " "Goodbye!"
In addition they have been learning how to follow instructions in French as the teacher has asked then to look, listen and repeat in French:
Regardz - look
ecoutez - listen
repetez - repeat
Finally, thay have begun to learn a verse in french.
This term we are investigating light.
This term we are exploring music through the composer Benjamin Britten.
