07.12.20 Homelearning and contact with school

Reedley Primary School - Achieving Today For Tomorrow`s World

Monday, 07 December 2020

Dear Parent/Carer,

Just a reminder that if school is closed to your children, they are expected to carry out home learning.

Staff keep the website updated with the learning, based on what the children would be doing if they were in school.

Your child will also receive regular phone calls from school staff. They will chat to the children about the work that they have carried out and discuss anything that they have been struggling with  and make suggestions about what else they could do next.

The staff will also be able to see what aspects of the online work has been completed, including Bug Club, MyMaths, Spag.com etc and can discuss this with your child.

Phonecalls

The phone calls that you receive may come from withheld numbers or from numbers starting with 033

If you miss the call, you will not be able to call back but the staff member will try to call again later. Please do not call the school in this instance.

Email

During this period of time, you are able to email your child’s classteacher to discuss the work.

The email addresses all follow the same format and the ones that are needed at the moment are:

Reception – missmackenzie@reedley.lancs.sch.uk and mrsking@reedleylancs.sch.uk

Year 1 – misscowell@reedley.lancs.sch.uk and msdoe@reedley.lancs.sch.uk

Year 4 - mrslambert@reedley.lancs.sch.uk and missjohn@reedley.lancs.sch.uk

Year 6 - misspool@reedley.lancs.sch.uk and mrpilling@reedley.lancs.sch.uk

If you are unable to access online work, you can request a pack of work on paper. Please call Mrs Iqbal if this is the case.

Free School Meals

If school is closed to your child and your family is eligible for free school meals, we will provide you with a pack of food for you to use on your child’s lunches. Mrs Iqbal will contact you when these packs are available to be collected from school.
