17.12.21 The School Library will be re-opening in January

Thursday 17th December 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

I am delighted to announce that the School Library will be re-opening in January 2021.

Each year group will be visiting the Library once every four weeks so that they can borrow and return books.  We are not able to open the Library to each year group on a weekly basis as restrictions are in place to ensure the safety of your child(ren) and staff.

We need your help to get the Library up and running successfully.  Our book stocks are low as there are children who still have not returned their school library book or paid the £5 charge so we can buy more copies of books that are damaged or lost.  Please check your homes for any books that belong to the school library.  We record loans on a computerised database so we know which children have borrowed which book and when they are returned.

If your child has a book on loan that they have not returned or the £5 fine has not been paid, then they will be receiving a reminder letter today from Mrs Butt and Mrs Wilson who are our School Librarians.  The children will not be able to borrow another book until this one is returned or a fine has been paid.

I hope that you can understand that replacing books that have not been returned can become very expensive.  We thank you in advance!

Thank you for your support,

Mrs K. Gorrell
