Dear Parents/Carers,
Year 4 Friendship Day
Yesterday Year 4 children enjoyed a Friendship Day, making links with children from Padiham Green and Whittlefield Schools. The children were able to make new friends and explore the issues of friendship, community and diversity. Year 3 are due to take part in a similar day in May.
Footballers
A team of our footballer took part in a competition after school on Wednesday this week. Mrs Butt tells me that they played exceptionally well. They won two games and lost two games. The score line of one of the wins was 5-1! Well done to the children who took part.
Clubs
Clubs have now finished until after Easter so there are no after school clubs taking place next week.
Letters for new clubs have been given out this week. If you child has not returned their letter yet, they must be brought back on Monday.
Your child will find out after Easter, which club they have been allocated.
Parent/Carer Meetings With Classteachers
You have had the opportunity to book your meetings with your child’s classteacher. There have been a few issues where some people were not able to access the School Spider app or website. These were generally because some of you hadn’t set up your accounts or that you had changed your email addresses after you gave them to us. We will be using this system from now on, so it is very important that you inform us if you change your email addresses.
We also aim to move away from paper newsletters after Easter halftem, and aim to put these on the school website. You will receive a push notification on your smartphone that there is a newsletter.
Interim Reports
The children from Year 1 to Year 6 will bring home their reports on Monday. If you need further clarification on any of the information, you can ask your child’s classteacher during the meetings with the teachers next week.
Easter Holidays
School will close at 3.30pm on Friday 5th April.
It will re-open on Tuesday 23rd April.
