Week Beginning 21st June If you need to contact me regarding the home learning or wish to share examples of your child's work, the class email address is mrsellis@reedley.lancs.sch.uk and will be checked regularly throughout the day. Home learning activities will be set daily and will consist of recorded lessons, written and online activities. Written activities are to be completed in the 'Homelearning' book which was sent home in March with a pencil. Please remember to email work completed to the teacher email above so that I can give feedback on the work. There are also PE activities set from Mr Wall our BFC Coach that are on the separate P.E tab on our page. Online activities will also be set on Bug Club, My Maths, Spag.com and Purple Mash (click images below for links). Passwords for these websites have been stuck in the front of the homework book. Monday- read a book from Bug Club and answer the questions

Writing Monday- KL: Write notes Watch the Curious Cat clip and make notes about what happens at each stage. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p011snmr Tuesday- KL: Write an explanation Use the notes from yesterday to write some sentences about each stage in the process. Use the heading ‘How paper is made’. Remember to write a subheading for each section. Use time words and joining words like because, so that, this causes.
Continue writing your explanation from yesterday. You can add labelled diagrams. Thursday-KL: Write a Fact File Using everything you know about paper. Write a fact file listing its uses. Friday- KL-Write a Riddle Think about everything you have learnt about how paper is made. Use these facts to write a riddle. Remember to put the harder clues at the beginning and the easier clues at the end. You need to include joining words and noun phrases. This should take you about 40 minutes.

Monday History: KL: Research what Seaside holidays are like now. Find out about seaside holidays now. Write a list of activities that people might do and what you might find there. Tuesday Geography: Are all seaside places the same? Differences and similarities between 2 coastal towns. Comparing 2 places in the world. St Annes and St Lucia. Find these places in the atlas and on the globe. Use the internet to find out what these places are like. You could look at the weather, plants, food, and housing Complete the sheet filling in what is the same and different about each place. Wednesday PSHE KL: How fellings can change Discuss the scenario cards and discuss each one ( they are on the sheet). Use the sheet to record how Maz feels at differen parts and how he could feel better.

Practise writing the letter cursively in the air first and then move on to practising writing in your book or on paper. PE See separate tab at the top of our class page for daily P.E activities. |
