13.12.19 - Mini fair, punctuality, children's university, xmas holidays
Friday, 13 December 2019
Dear Parents/Carers,
Nativity
Well done to our Reception and Year 1 children who performed their nativity on Tuesday. They did a wonderful job. Thank you to all who came along to support our children.
Fair
Thank you to everyone who supported the fair on Wednesday. We have raised nearly £750 to replace some of our old school reading books.
Mini fair
We have some items left from the fair and will be selling these in a mini-fair after school on Wednesday. This will be in the hall from 3.30pm until 4pm.
There will be a small selection of toys and some sweets to purchase.
Punctuality
Unfortunately, we are experiencing a lot of our children are arriving at school after 8.50am. This is the time that lessons start and it not acceptable for them to miss this learning time. This week there were 9hours 47 minutes of learning lost across school.
The whole school attendance figure for the week is 94.4% which is under our target of 96%.
Christmas Dinner
We will be having our Christmas dinner on Wednesday. Children having a school dinner will automatically get the special party food for lunch. If any children who usually bring packed lunched want to have the party food on Wednesday, then if they are in Y3, Y4, Y5 or £6 you will need to pay £2.30.
(Children in Rec, Y1 and Y2 are entitled to a free lunch funded by the government so can have the party food lunch for free).
Non-uniform day
The children (and staff) are invited to pay £1 to dress in non-uniform on Friday. This can be Christmas themed and fancy dress if they wish. The money will go into school fund to support us with buying resources for school.
Clubs
There are no clubs taking place next week. New letters have gone out for children to sign up for new clubs. They will find out on 7th January which clubs they will be in next. All new clubs will start in the week beginning 13th January.
Children’s University
If your child has a passport and has collected credits from providers out of school, they need to bring the passports into school on Monday 16th December. If your child has achieved credits through school only, they do not need to bring the passport in to be stamped, but they can if they want to.
School Closure
School will close at 3.30pm on Friday 20th December and will reopen on Tuesday 7th January.
Thank you for your support,
Mrs Sarah Bell
