Maths - Tens Frames W/C 4/2/19
Date: 8th Feb 2019 @ 2:34pm
In Maths we have been learning all about making numbers using tens frames. Children have tried really hard to use the new equipment to make different numbers. Tens frames assist children in recognising numbers to 10 easily. Placing counters inside each of the 10 parts of the frames allows children to develop number sense with numbers to 10. Tens frames are used to develop children’s subitizing skills which means to instantly see how many. This will assist in building a sound knowledge of the basic addition/subtraction facts for 10 e.g. 9+1=10 10-1=9.
Please come to our Maths parent workshop on 25th February- times to be confirmed.
