World Book Day 2020
Children had great fun during World Book Day. Every child took part in different activities. Children had thought about their favourite book characters and have dressed up as their favourite characters.
Children enjoyed reading new books such as Rosie’s Walk and Room on the Broom.
In Maths we have had lots of fun learning about the numbers 11, 12, 13 and 14. We made the number in a tens frames, Numicon and then recorded the parts of the number using the part-part-whole model. Children also learned about the pair structure and the five-and-a-bit structure in the tens frame. In addition children have also been subtracting two from a number
Next week we are going to be exploring old and new toys and children will be discussing questions such as, what do you know about old toys? Which toys are your favourite and why? How can you tell these toys are old or new?
We have many P.E items, hats, and jumpers in the lost property with no name, it is essential that all items are named so we can return lost property to the correct child. Please ensure each part of your child’s school uniform is labelled.
