Dear Parents/Carers
Free Online Activities for Children over Easter
There is a free virtual programme of activities for children running from Tuesday 6th April to Friday 9th April run by Youth Action, in association with Lancashire County Council.
All children from Reedley are able to attend but places are limited. There will be a range of activities and challenges for children to complete. For more information, parents/carers should go to www.discovercamp.youthaction.org.uk and register if you are interested.
Sports’ Pitch
We are getting a new sports’ pitch installed in the school grounds. Work is due to start over the two week Easter holiday and will continue for approximately one week after we return to school. Arrangements for accessing the school playground remain unchanged, although some areas of the playground may be fenced off whilst the works continue.
It is a very exciting project, that will provide us with an additional play/sports area for all the children in school to use.
COVID
If your child receives a positive COVID test during the first week of the holidays, then you have a duty to inform us. You should email COVID@reedley.lancs.sch.uk Please do not use this email address for any other purpose.
Please remember that anyone who has been out of the country, must isolate at home for 10 days after they have returned.
I would urge you to continue to follow all national restrictions over the holidays, including not allowing your children to go to their friends’ homes or mixing with households. It is also still illegal to get haircuts. It is vital that we all abide by the law, in order to reduce transmission of the virus.
Homework
The staff have set some homework for the children to complete over the holidays. There is also an added challenge from Mrs Gorrell. Look out for the letter coming out tomorrow with further details and details of this will also be on your child’s homework sheet from their teacher.
Easter holidays
School will close after school on Friday 26th March and will reopen on Monday 12th April.
