World Book Day 

To celebrate World Book Day, on Thursday 2nd March, children dressed up as a character from their favourite book. 

Maths

Children began to combine 2 groups to find how many altogether. 

Literacy

We looked at the front cover of our book Pip and Posy the big red balloon. We then looked at alternative words for big and small. For our literacy activity we had different size and coloured balloons which we described. 

Art Week

We have been focussing on artwork by Henri Matisse. We discussed how Matisse used shapes to create his art work. We looked at 'The Snail’ , we talked about the different colours and shapes used and how he created a collage. 
In the afternoon we displayed our fantastic art work in our classrooms and showed our adults around our art gallery.
