Year 4 Cinema Trip

The Year 4 pupils will be visiting Reel Cinema, Burnley on Thursday 23^rd of November 2023 to watch ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ (PG) as part of the Into Film Festival. The visit will take place during the school day.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie is a computer-animated adventure comedy film based on Nintendo’s Mario video game franchise. The film features an origin story for the brothers Mario and Luigi, Italian-American plumbers who are transported to an alternate world and become entangled in a battle between the Mushroom Kingdom, led by Princess Peach, and the Koopas, led by Bowser. The educational purpose and proposed activities of this visit are to enhance literacy skills through different media and provide practical opportunities in learning.

As the film is a PG rating, we will require permission to allow your child to attend.  Please complete the permission slip and return to school

Children will require a packed lunch for the trip.  Please indicate whether you are entitled to free school meals and would like school to provide a packed lunch on the permission slip.

The children will be transported to and from the venue by private coach. There will be a £5 voluntary contribution towards the cost of transport for the Educational Visit, including drinks and snacks while we are there. If we receive insufficient contributions it may be necessary to cancel the visit. Please send your voluntary contribution with the signed consent form.
