This week we are reacaping on certain topics to make sure the foundation an understanding is secure to make each child reach their potential.

The children have worked extremely hard this week. They have been trying to understand money problems using real life situations.
This week, the children are looking at Angles.
The four types of angle you should know are acute, obtuse, reflex and right angles. When you are estimating the size of an angle, you should consider what type of angle it is first.

This week the children will also be revisiting division using the formal written method.
This term Year 5 will be exploring the world of William Shakespeare. In particular the play ' A Mid- Summer Nights Dream.

The children are learning all about playscript. Looking at the language that was used and understanding the way of life during Shakespears time.
They have made prediction about what could happen and expalin why they think this by watching clips.
DT
Sewing
In DT, we are creating a hanging holder with pockets for someone going on a camping trip.
The children have been evaluting a hanging holder with pockets. They looked at a variety of holders and thiught about who would use them, what for and when.
They also looked at what the material they would use, would it be waterproof?, the size of their product and who would buy it.

What is digital Resillience
Digital resilience is a dynamic personality asset that grows from digital activation i.e. through engaging with appropriate opportunities and challenges online, rather than through avoidance and safety behaviours.

I am a mixed media artist and a teacher, living in Lancashire, England. I create colourful paintings to inspire and uplift people and my mission is to promote the enjoyment of art and creative practices through courses and workshops.
My work is strongly influenced by the beauty of nature and ideas from my childhood from mystery, make believe and fairy tales.
The children have really enjoyed creating pieces of art using techniques they have learnt.
Parents were invited to see what their child have create and helped them to improve the creations.

We have had another workshop about Sikhism.
History
This term the children will be learning about the Ancient Greeks. We will discuss what impacts the Ancients Greeks have had on the western world. Who was Alexander the Great and what did his empire achieve. The children will reasearch what the Ancient Greeks achieve, what was their culture like.
