Face Masks
Thank you so much for continuing to wear face masks in the mornings and at the end of the school day. Your support in keeping us all as safe as possible is very much appreciated by staff and governors.
Staff news
Mrs Doe is now taking star class, as Mrs King has started her maternity leave.
Mrs Iqbal (office) will be away from work for a few weeks, as she is going into hospital to have an operation. Mrs Connolly will be covering the office until Mrs Iqbal comes back. I’m sure you will join us in wishing Mrs Iqbal well, and hoping that she has a speedy recovery.
Y3 visit to ‘Bring yer Wellies’
On Thursday and Friday last week, our Y3 classes enjoyed fabulous days out at ‘Bring yer Wellies’! Children (and staff!) had a great time, and enjoyed learning outdoors. HUGE thanks to Mrs Wilkinson for organising the visits.
Home learning
If your child is isolating, we will provide either home learning or a pack of learning as far as we can do. This week, with so many teachers off sick with COVID, we have struggled to do this for all children. Don’t forget that they can still access homework tasks, Times Table Rock Stars, My Maths, Bug Club, Phonics Play, Purple Mash, etc. to help to keep up with their learning.
Safer Internet Day – 08.02.22
Next Tuesday is Safer Internet Day across the UK. The focus this year is around exploring respect and relationships online, at an age appropriate level of course. Next week, children will be learning about staying safe online, particularly around the theme ‘All fun and games? Exploring respect and relationships online.’ Please talk to your children about what they have been learning, and help them to stay safe online at home, as well as in school. Further information about staying safe online is available on the school website.
