04.01.21 Snow day and COVID update

Dear Parents/Carers,

CLOSURE FOR SNOW DAY – Monday 4^th January

We informed you all this morning that school will be closed for today due to snow and ice.

I came into school on Sunday and spent several hours clearing the snow and started clearing it again very early this morning, but despite this, it was apparent that we couldn’t guarantee getting the children in and out of school safely.

We apologise for the late notice, as we were trying our best to ensure that school could be open today but had to make the decision before the children left home.

COVID

At 4pm today, there will be a governor meeting to discuss whether governors feel it is safe for school to remain open with the current levels of COVID in the UK and our community.

I will send you all a message after this meeting to confirm whether or not school will be open to all children or just children of key workers and vulnerable children, going forward.
