Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome back, and I would like to wish you and your families a Happy 2023.
I have been speaking to the children in assembly about making a New Year Promise.
This could be a commitment to better attendance or punctuality, or it could be something. with a wider impact such as a commitment to reduce, re-use or recycle materials such as paper and plastic.
Attendance
Our overall attendance for this week is 89.31%
The White Water Lily Class (Y5B) and the Iris Class (Y6E) won the attendance award for the half term before Christmas and had their non-uniform day today.
Punctuality
We had 7 hours and 13 minutes of lates this week, meaning vital learning is still being missed by some children. This means that lots of learning is being missed.
Please ensure that your child is in school before the gates closes at 8.50am each day.
The Daffodil Class (Rec Miss Cowell’s class) won the punctuality award for the half term before Christmas. They had their non-uniform day today too.
Please remember that by law, your child has to attend school. Holidays or trips abroad during term time will not be authorised and will result in your child missing valuable learning time and the parents receiving a financial penalty.
Online Safety Guide
I have included the same poster as before Christmas which was all about setting up apps, games and software. Many of the children have been telling me that they have got new devices over Christmas and I want to ensure that you know how to set these up safely. We will be having some parental sessions for online safety shortly and I will give you more information about this soon.
Thank you for your support,
Mrs Sarah Bell
