Dear Parents/Carers,
Children In Need
Thank you for the donations for the BBC Children In Need appeal.
Christmas Fair
Just a reminder that we will be holding a Christmas Fair on Wednesday 11th December from 3:45pm to 5pm. There will be a range of stalls including food, games and toys.
We are asking the children to bring a donation of sweets or chocolate on Friday 29th November to support with prizes for the event.
General Election - School Closure
As we are having an unexpected general election on Thursday 12th December, school will be closed for the full day to pupils. This is due to the fact that the school hall will be used for voting and it would be unsafe and impractical for school to function as normal on this day. School will reopen in Friday 13th December. This is not a decision I want to make, but it is in the best interests of the children. I have asked the local council to find an alternative venue for voting, but there are no possible options and we have no choice to allow school to be used.
Football
A group of our Y5/6 girls were successful in getting through to the regional finals in a football competition last night. We wish them luck in the next round, which is in two weeks.
Well done Eshal. Afnan, Shanum, Ayesha, Sahar, Aliza, Zara, Iqra and Nimra!
Anti-bullying
Children have been learning about anti-bullying this week. This also needs to extend to their activities out of school, including on-line. Please ensure that you are able to check your child’s activity on-line to ensure that their behaviour is safe and appropriate.
Thank you for your support
