Dear Parents/Carers,
Punctuality
We had 4 hours and 40 minutes of lates this week, meaning vital learning is still being missed by some children.
This is a huge increase on last week.
Please ensure that your child is in school before the gates closes at 8.50am each day.
Attendance
Our overall attendance for this week is 94.35%.
This is below our target of 96% and slightly lower than last week.
Events This Week
We had a lovely event this after school on Tuesday where our School Council and Eco Council met the school staff and governors and explained what their role in school is. We are all looking forward to hearing about what they achieve this year.
Upcoming Events
- Year 5 Trip
Mrs Hardman’s class are going to Clitheroe Museum on Tuesday.
Mrs Boyd’s class are going to Clitheroe Museum on Wednesday.
Year 6
All children in Year 6 will need to apply for their high school place by 31st October 2023. Parent/carers need to go to https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/children-education-families/schools/apply-for-a-school-place/starting-secondary-school/ to apply for their place.
I suggest that you go on a visit to the schools to ensure that they can meet your child’s needs.
Here are the dates of the open days for three of the local schools. If you are interested in any other schools, please look for dates on their website or give them a call.
