Dear Parents/Carers,
Non-uniform day
To raise money for Pendleside Hospice in Brierfield, children can come in non-uniform day on Friday. This can be Christmas themed if they wish. Please bring £1 per child.
School Closure
School will close at 3.30p, on Friday 22nd December and will reopen on Monday 8th December.
Care Club – wrap around care
As I have informed you previously, we have a new Care Club starting at Reedley in January.
We haven’t got an exact date from Ofsted as to when this can start, but we are hoping for the 15th January. We will update you in the new year. We need to ensure that all the legalities are in place first, but once we open, this will replace any existing arrangements for before-school club.
Here are some of the arrangements that will be in place:
Breakfast Club
Time: From 7.30am - 8.40am
Price £4.50 per child per session
This will consist of childcare starting from the end of the school day. Children will receive a healthy breakfast and taking part in a wide range of activities including sport, art etc
Children can arrive any time throughout the session, but the full charge will be incurred.
For example, your child can arrive at 8.25am, but you will be charged £4.50 for the session.
After School Club
Time: From 3.30pm to 6.00pm
Prices: 3.30pm to 5pm £7 per session or 3.30pm to 6pm £9 per session
Please note that if children are not collected on time from school, they will automatically go into the Care Club, and a charge of £4 per child will be charged. If they are then not collected by 3.50pm, the usual price of a session will be charged (£7 if collected by 5pm, £9 if collected by 6pm).
Holiday Clubs
The Care Club will also be operating throughout a number of the school holidays. Further details will be shared nearer the time.
Discounts
If more than one child from the same household attends either breakfast or after school club for a full week, then a 10% discount will apply for the total cost of the childcare for that week.
The Care Club will accept various child-care vouchers, including the government tax free childcare scheme. See the government website for eligibility.

Families eligible for Universal Credit may be able to claim back some of the cost. See this website for further information.

If anyone wants to discuss the childcare with the provider Kirsten Mather, her phone number is 07476943162. She would be happy to chat to you about the plans that we have.
Further information on how you can register for the club will be available in January, and we will let you know the start date, as soon as the club has been fully registered with Ofsted.
Thank you for your support,
Mrs Sarah Bell
