Dear Parents/Carers,
Attendance
Our overall attendance for this week is 92.36%.
Please note that leave from school will not be authorised as it is the law that children attend school.

Events this week
· Mrs Malik’s class and Mrs King’s class had their non-uniform day today for punctuality and attendance awards.
· Calder Team had their treat on Tuesday for gaining the most team points over the last half term.
· Mrs Ellis’s Class attended ‘Bring Yer Wellies’ today.
· Some Y5 children attended a Kurling festival at the Leisure Box
· Y6 children took part in a workshop from Burnley Youth Theatre, based around their topic of Romeo and Juliet.
· WORLD BOOK DAY VOUCHERS have been sent home today as the books are already available in some shops. This entitles children to £1 off the price of a book, or there are some World Book Day books that can be purchased for the £1 voucher.
· Thank you to all those parents who were able to attend art week sessions this week. I had fun looking at some of the parental creations and it was lovely that you were able to see what your child is learning in art.
Upcoming Events
· Y1 classes are having a trip to Bring Yer Wellies on 12th and 13th March.
· Children in Y3 – 6 will be taking part in the annual times table competition. The semi-final will be held in classes early next week. Finalists will go through to the inter-school final on 6th March.
· Reception classes will be going on a trip on22nd March. A letter has been sent home this week. Thank you to those parents/carers that have already returned the slip and money.
Bookfair
We have a Scholastic bookfair visiting school from 29th February.
Children can come into the hall, straight after school, with an adult if they want to purchase books.
Year 5 and Year 6 - Thursday 29th February
Reception - Friday 1st March
Year 3 and Year 4 - Monday 4th March
Year 1 and Year 2 - Tuesday 5th March
Adults can either pay by cash or by card. If you wish to pay on your phone, you will need to have available data on your phone.
Events Celebrating World Book Day – Thursday 7th March
· Children will be invited to dress up as a book character on World Book Day.
· All children will also be watching a theatre production in school from Burnley Youth Theatre on World Book Day.
· Children in Y3 – 6 will be taking part in a Quidditch session in March
Reedley Wraparound Care Club
Please remember that you need to book in advance if you wish for your child to attend breakfast club or afterschool club. Please use this link.

Please remember that your child will go into Care Club automatically if they are not collected from school by 3.30pm. There will be a £4 late pick-up fee as long as your child is collected by 3.50pm. If they are not collected by 3.50pm, the full session price will be charged.

Reminder of the details for Reedley Wraparound Care Club Breakfast Club · Time: From 7.30am - 8.40am · Price £4.50 per session This will consist of childcare starting from 7.30am until the children go into class. Children will receive a healthy breakfast and taking part in sporting activities initially, although other activities will be added to the programme as the term goes on. Children can arrive any time throughout the session, but the full charge will be incurred. For example, your child can arrive at 8.25am, but you will be charged £4.50 for the session. After School Club · Time: From 3.30pm to 6.00pm Prices: · 3.30pm to 3.50pm £4 per session or · 3.30pm to 5pm £7 per session or · 3.30pm to 6pm £9 per session Children will go straight from their classes to the club. They will have a healthy snack and take part in activities.
