Over the half term, the Rec Chick Class have had the fewest number of lates and they will get their non-uniform day on Friday 25th April.
Please ensure all children are in school by 8.50am |
Holiday Learning Over the next two weeks, we want your children to have fun and some of you may have fun activities planned. If there is some spare time, children can make use of the online programmes that we provide such as Maths Whizz, Nessy, Times Tables Rockstars, Purple Mash and Numbots. (Not all children have access to them all). Children who keep some skills ticking over find it easier when they return to school.
Another very useful activity would be colouring and/or drawing. I am aware that a great number of children in school need to work on their handwriting, and colouring is a great way to develop these skills. They could use a pre-made colouring book or design pictures of their own.
Benefits of colouring and drawing: Colouring requires precise movements, which strengthens the small muscles in the hands and fingers, making it easier to hold and manipulate a pencil or pen for writing Colouring encourages attention to detail, as children focus on staying within lines and creating patterns, which can translate to better letter formation and neatness in handwriting. Children might like to make a short comic strip using a series of 6 pictures and captions. I would love to see any creations after the holiday if children are able to do any colouring or drawing over the next two weeks. Some of the Reception children have drawn me some lovely pictures recently. |
Clubs Clubs will resume from Wednesday 30th April (please note that this is the second week back). Children should have brought home a slip with the name of the club they have been allocated. |
