This week's learning

In Maths we have been learning about repeating patterns. Children all enjoyed creating patterns using different materials and they were all encouraged to talk about their patterns. Can children spot any patterns at home? In Literacy we read the book, Funnybones. We loved retelling the story and children tried hard to use their phonics knowledge to label their Funnybones pictures. We loved creating our own small worlds this week. We used different materials to create landscapes such as rivers, flowers, grass and doors. Outdoors, we have been focusing on developing children’s ability to listen to each other. Children enjoyed playing a traffic light game where they had to listen to their friend say, “green for go”. Children then created their own traffic lights to use outside.
