Write a sentence about your favourite part telling me why you liked it.

If you would like to you can draw a picture too.

This should take you about 20 minutes.

Comprehension (30 minutes)

Complete the comprehension tasks. You will find these at the bottom of the page.

Find the task for your Guided Reading Group.

If you are in River or Ocean, complete the River and Ocean task.

If you are in Forest or Garden complete that task.

If you are in Desert complete the Desert task.

KL: Write a Letter (45 minutes)

Read the extract from the story Mossop’s Last Chance and then write a letter to Farmer Rafferty asking to stay on the farm. Use the word bank to help.

KL: Identify numbers on a beadstring (45 minutes)

Look at the numbers on the beadstring/numberline. 

Remember:

-a block of colour makes 10

-look for the tens

-then look at where the ones would be placed using your knowledge of place value
