Write a sentence about your favourite part telling me why you liked it.

If you would like to you can draw a picture too.

This should take you about 20 minutes.

Comprehension (30 minutes)

Complete the comprehension tasks. You will find these at the bottom of the page.

Find the task for your Guided Reading Group.

If you are in River or Ocean, complete the River and Ocean task.

If you are in Forest or Garden complete that task.

If you are in Desert complete the Desert task.

KL: Vocabulary (30 minutes)

Today you are going to re-read the first chapter of the story Mossop’s Last Chance.

1. Find 3 words you are not sure of the meaning of and look them up.
2. Find 3 words that you think are interesting and tell me why you have chosen them.

KL: Order 3 numbers (45 minutes)

Order the numbers from greatest to smallest unless it says from smallest to greatest.

Remember:

• Look at the tens first
• If the tens are the same, check the ones

KL: Label the parts of a plant

Use the pictures to design your own plant and then label the parts. Which part of the plant can you not see? Why?

When you have completed this have a go at matching the parts of the plant to the job they do.
