Friendship
A friendship is a relationship between two or more friends.
Someone who is a true friend stands up for you. When others try to hurt you emotionally or physically, they do everything they can to make sure you stay safe. They don't care who is trying to harm you; they will defend you anytime, anywhere. If they can help you, they'll do it without reservation or reward.
Take a look at our work:
Peer Pressure
Today the children have been learning about Peer pressure. Plenty of discussions has taken place in groups.
Your friends and peers influence your day-to-day decisions, even if you don't realise it. Sometimes this can be a good thing. Maybe a friend suggested a book that's now your favourite. Other times, they might pressure you to do things you don't want to do. Like, hurt someone else or miss school. Peer pressure is feeling like you have to do something just because all your friends are doing it.
It can be really tempting to do everything you can to fit in with your friends. But if you don't feel comfortable, it's okay to say "no" and make your own choices.
Well done children for looking at ways to help reduce peer pressure by giving your friends or classmates a choice instead of putting pressure on them.
This week the focus will be on 'One Kind Word'.
