Reedley Primary School rules:
Is it kind? Is it safe? Is it my best?
Each week all children will receive homework and a reading book. Homework is a chance for the learning we have been doing in classes to be reinforced at home, as well as allowing your children to get creative with English, Maths, and Reading. Reading books are to be taken home everyday and returned everyday. Please see your child's class page for more details on this.
P.E
Children must have their pumps in school to be able to participate in weekly P.E. lessons (see individual class pages for your child's P.E. sessions). P.E is an essential part of the curriculum which all children should have access to. We will let you know if children do not have the correct kit with them. Trainers can be worn when the PE session is outside.
All pens, pencils and other equipment needed for lessons will be provided, therefore children do not need to bring their own pencil cases into school.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please ensure that the school is kept up-to-date with medical/dietary requirements and photographic permissions.
Homework.
Homework is issued every Thursday and is returned the following Tuesday. You will find the weekly homework in the homework section. Homework will be also be on some of the online platforms. Please cleck below on the online platform to gain access.
Our online platform.
Each term, the children will be bringing home a knowledge organiser. Please encourage your child to read through it and learn some of the vocabulary linked to the topics we will be learning. If they want to do some research on the topics we will be learning, this will be more than welcomed. I always enjoy looking at what the children have been learning at home.
Reading
All children are expected to read to an adult as often as possible but at least twice a week. Please date and sign the reading diary when your child has read at home. This is imperative if we are to help our children build their reading comprehension and reading stamina in general.
Reading books and diaries should be available in school every day so that we can also hear your child read.
Water Bottles
Children are to being a reusable water bottle to use each day, to help keep them hydrated. Please make sure these are only filled with water and are clearly labelled with your child’s name. These can be refilled with water throughout the day if needed.
Mrs Bell will be continuing with the timetables awards this year but will take place in class. The children that have achieved the award, will be announced during Friday celebration assembly.
