In order to provide the best possible support for both parents and children during the school closures, we would like to set up children with accounts for the online learning platform Nessy.com.
Nessy is an online learning platform with structured language programs that automatically guide the instruction of phonics, reading, spelling and writing to children aged 5-12 years. Students will be following a program which is tailor made for them depending on the areas that they need extra practise in. This is formatted based on the answers that students give to some initial questions at the start of the program.
To register for this program the following information needs to be provided and held on their electronic files:
• Your child’s name
• Your child’s date of birth
• Their school year
• Progress made whilst using the program
This data will only be used to build a profile of your child’s learning within the Nessy platform to maximize the effectiveness of the program. Nessy has a clear privacy policy and adheres to The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Therefore, it is necessary to obtain parental consent before setting up a learning account. If you require a copy of their Privacy Policy it can be accessed online at Nessy.com.
