Art Week - Parents Day

A huge thank you to all the parents who were able to attend our Art Week. It was lovely to see so many parents participating in the activity.

Spring 1

Salt watercolour painting is a creative activity that combines the textures of salt with the vibrant hues of watercolours to create unique pieces of art.

It’s a process that not only allows children to explore their artistic side but also introduces them to the principles of absorption and texture.

The children really enjoyed this activity. We invited the parents to come and see their childs amazing pieces of work.

 Summer 1

                        Ruth Daniels

Fine Art Magazine Blog: RUTH DANIELS Featured Artist Ruth Daniels | Artsy Shark | Inspiring Artists to Build ...

Ruth Daniels' original ink and watercolors are a unique combination of flora and fauna found in tropical gardens. The artist has filled her paintings with details of brightly colored flowers, plants and animals that cohabitate in a rainforest paradise. Ruth’s work is a welcome addition to any environment seeking to create a sense of warmth, intrigue and comfort.  The viewer is immediately drawn into the complexity of the images and can travel, if only for a moment to a tropical paradise.

(1844-1910)

Who Was Henri Rousseau?

While working as a toll collector in Paris, Henri Rousseau taught himself to paint and exhibited his work almost annually from 1886 until the end of his life.

Early Life and Work

Henri Julien Félix Rousseau was born into a middle-class family in the town of Laval in northwest France on May 21, 1844. Rousseau attended school in Laval until 1860.

Rousseau as Artist

Rousseau had begun to paint in his spare time. He never had a formal art education; instead, he taught himself by copying paintings in the art museums of Paris and by sketching in the city's botanical gardens and natural history museums.
