Andy Warhol was famous for a new art movement called pop art.
He sometimes chose very ordinary things. He even did screen prints of soup cans .
The children created some amazing pieces of art. Parents were invited into school to see and support their child's learning.
This term, the children will Investigate using different drawing tools; grades of pencil, charcoal, chalk, graphite sticks, biros, pastels, oil pastels.
Children look at the work of still life painters such as Dutch masters, the Impressionists, Georgia O’Keefe.
The children picked different fruits and began to sketch using the skills they have learnt.
The using oil pastels and chalk, they bought the pictures to life.
The children had a look at a range of drawings from different still life painters and then tried creating their pieces.

Salt watercolour painting is a creative activity that combines the textures of salt with the vibrant hues of watercolours to create unique pieces of art.
It’s a process that not only allows children to explore their artistic side but also introduces them to the principles of absorption and texture.
The children really enjoyed this activity. We invited the parents to come and see their childs amazing pieces of work.
