Please read your home reading books. Write a sentence about your favourite part telling me why you liked it. If you would like to you can draw a picture too. This should take you about 20 minutes. |

Comprehension (30 minutes) Complete the comprehension tasks. You will find these at the bottom of the page. Find the task for your Guided Reading Group. If you are in River or Ocean, complete the River and Ocean task. If you are in Forest or Garden complete that task. If you are in Desert complete the Desert task. KL: Questions (45 minutes) Read the beginning part of our new story Mudpuddle Farm by Michael Morpurgo. Write questions that you would like to know about the story. These might be questions to ask one of the characters, about what has happened in the book or what might happen next. Remember questions need to start with a question word, make sense, be asking a question and end in a question mark. The story is attached at the bottom of the page. |

K.L: Adding and Subtracting 10 Complete the task sheet to add or subtract 10. Use jottings to help you. Draw the tens and ones under the number and then add or subtract a 10. Use the hundred square to help if you need to. Remember to move up and down the tens column- the ones stay the same as you are only adding or subtracting a ten. The sheets you need are attached at the bottom of the page. |

Theme (45 minutes) KL: Plan your own garden We are starting a new topic all about plants. Use the sheet at the bottom of the page to plan your own garden. 1. Match the pictures of the common flowers to their names. 2, Design your own garden. You could include a flower bed, vegetable patch, grass and even a play area. I'm sure you will have lots of ideas of your own.
